awanderingcoyote I'm just going to post all my art WIPs cause it's so hard to finish things right now :D This was meant for the LEAP bonus prompt for the month of march for Guardian Bingo.
There should be one more panel showing GCC leaping, but you get the silly little beginning square and then the ending where CSZ caught GCC when he jumped.

Oh! And Lao Chu is gesturing for Xiao Guo to jump!!!
It would take an awful lot of trust for Xiao Guo to jump from that height ... but of course he trusts his Chu-ge!
And then the picture at the bottom, the look on Chu-ge's face, like, "I will always take care of you, Changcheng" while Changcheng is still overcome! I'm wondering if Changcheng put his hands over his face before he jumped--you know how people say "don't look down"! Or is he doing that now that he's safe, and it's an expression of relief or even just being overcome. SO MUCH EMOTION HERE.
I also love the one spot of color, Changcheng's purple sweater. For one thing, it helps the viewer spot Changcheng in the inset picture. Also, it's a pretty color!

So definitely lots of emotion because OMG could you imagine jumping and knowing someone has to catch you? Not that Chu-ge would ever drop him LOL. I too like the purple!
I can definitely see it now in the way you said he's overcome with emotion too! So I like both HCs for however people see it XD
I hope soon I can return to this WIP cause I"d like to spiffy it up more and finish the other panels too! :D
