Jun. 12th, 2025 08:26 amLife continues to be full speed ahead but in a good way! :D The kiddo is out of school and we've been doing extra birb watching around my work schedule (which continues to be far more OT than I like).
On Tuesday we went to this duck pond (I've been slowly mapping out all the birbing spots for us to visit this summer) and that's where we went!

The amount of geese were INTENSE. So many gaggles and with big fluffy babies! :D We stayed a respectable distance because geese and geese with babies.
The pond and adjacent park was super nice and it was only the kiddo and I for the longest time :D Then we saw a couple walking their dog on the other side.
BUT THE COOLEST THING, okay there's actually multiple cool things, but the big coolest thing was we saw one of our EAGLES. It was dive bombing the pond. I can only assume it was trying to catch fish and while it wasn't doing a great job it was SO awesome to see. The kiddo and I watched it for 20 minutes or more, up until it flew away. IT WAS SO GREAT.
We also saw several heron on the pond and it's just so amazing how large they really are. In the air they look small but on land they are like giant birbs, all legs and beaks.
We also found some trails we wanted to follow for future visits, because neither one of us were wearing long pants, and the trails were quite overgrown so next time we'll wear long pants and go exploring more.
I hope everyone is having a great week and we're almost to Fri-yay! :D
PS: I'm hoping Sunday I can finish my two fics and one drawing for my Guardian bingo prompts! Wheeeeee! :D

May. 2nd, 2025 12:06 pmSo happy the oncologist said my mammogram looked clear today. it made me miss my mom so much but I’m also just so happy. Thank you everyone for all the well wishes.
I have another follow up next week to switch to a better med for the next 10 years and then it’ll be scans every six months

Mar. 7th, 2025 07:30 pm I need to practice digital arts so I’m spiffy with the arts for 520 day! So here is a hour study of CSZ when he was chained to the pillar. I liked the shadowing and tried hard to replicate in a monochrome-ish red. Arts behind cut!( Arty art art art! )

Jan. 18th, 2025 01:42 pm I am slowing dipping my toes into fandom things again. Next time I’m on my computer i will post some arts and fics I did.
There is still some health things going on but I won’t have any updates until February but I refuse to let it drag me down!
I’ve been trying to catch up on fic reading and slowly I’m getting there! I’m also trying to leave comments!! Once I’m through fic I plan on going through all my dreamwidth posts I have to read and comment on that too!!
I have a Weilan fic in the rough draft stages. It’s a vaguely alternate identity reveal that will incorporate hurt and comfort for Shen Wei. Hoping to get some real work done on that tmr. I have some additional chapters to the winged fic for ChuGuo that I posted in December that hopefully I can work on tmr as well!
But first I have to pick up a new charger for the laptop cause the old one has went kerplunk and won’t charge any longer. I am so hard on wires and chargers Lolol.
Today has been super nice I made a bananananananaa bread and it’s made the whole house smell good :)

Oct. 16th, 2024 07:34 amIn other news I've been leaning heavily on paper and watercolors cause my ipad is too heavy right now for my hands.
So here are some various studies I did of Zhao Yunlan and HPS and then also two chars from the DMBJ (is that the right acronym? I'm not sure!) Reunion verse.

Sep. 27th, 2024 02:58 pmAt chemo appt. Got about 3-4 hours so I’m doing a rewatch of guardian today. Maybe next appt I’ll watch the untamed. Also have a few new shows in case I want something new.
Also have iPad to doodle but the arm is awkward because of how the set it up. Lolol

I, however, cannot wait for Tuesday for the gift exchange reveals! WOOT WOOT!
Sadly, I have to train a ginormous class on a new procedure on that same day and I"m just like: HMPH. No wanna. But I gotta. I wasn't supposed to train, but my fellow trainer for this project decided to take some PTO for the day even though she was supposed to do the training for this class (I did the last two) and to say I'm a tiny bit grumpy is accurate.
But it'll go quick. Only about an hour and then after work it'll be time to jump into the gifts :D WOOT WOOT! I saw the wishlist group on Ao3 was at 27 gifts! All the goodness! YAY!
I hope everyone is having a good day today and hopefully this week is gentle to us all :)

I'm just tackling one thing at a time and if things aren't perfect, OH WELL.
In other news, I can't decide if I want to write for the GUardian Bingo prompt or draw! AHHH DECISIONS DECISIONS. I'm leaning towards writing, I just gotta think about what i want to write. Something funny, something serious, or a combination of both! Who's to say, but I'll figure it out soon :D
