November's bonus prompt for Guardian Bingo 2022 (my gosh I almost wrote 2020 for some reason here) is small/short & sweet. So, I did a very messy sketch in a day versus DAYS and here it is :D
Oh wow, that is gorgeous. The golden glow of the pendant (how do artists DO these things, I can't imagine) and his beautiful eyes, and the sense of pain and stress around them even with them closed. Sad and lovely.
AHhhh! Thank you for saying such lovely things about the pic! :D I was definitely going for the whole pain/pining/stressed vibe with his expression, yes. My HC for this pic is something along the lines of: It's shortly after he woke up, and he's still trying to acclimate to everything new (new Dixing, new Haixing, new people, new responsibilities, etc etc) and after one particularly trying day he is just all: I need hug.
But there is no Kunlun to hug, only a pendant. So there we are XD
I too particularly like the pendant glow :D I love creating pictures in black and white with only a spot of color and the pendant is such a good object to have the color come from :D
