There was a lot of stuff learned yesterday, so I'll put it behind a cut because it's health related and I don't want to trigger anyone if they've dealt with similar health issues. :)

My mom got both good news and bad news. Good news in that the doctor doesn't believe it's spread to other organs, bad news that there is a tumor and they want to try and get it to shrink first before they remove it, because of how much would have to be removed if they didn't.

So, my mom will initially be doing radiation and chemotherapy to see how much it can be shrunk and then have a total hysterectomy.

The 28th they're going to go in and biopsy the tumor, to see what kind it is, and also her lymph nodes that showed hot on the cat scan. I'll be making the trip Tuesday morning and meeting them at the hospital. Then I'll stay for a few days before going back home, cause I gotta take care of the kiddo too. Both he and my mama are my priorities that I'll have to balance carefully.

I can tell my mom is scared but I can tell she feels better now that she knows what everything is and what next steps are. Once they do all the biopsies on Tuesday, she's going to go for more scans with contrast to get better images of the tumor all around. I think for the radiation, if I understood it correctly. So they know where exactly to put the radiation.

Either way, we're all scared for my mom, but we're going to do this one step at a time.

Thank you all for all the good thoughts and vibes for my mom. I appreciate you all. Sending so much love to each of you!
